Franciscan Friars of the Immaculate

We here at Call Me Jorge... wonder if Francis took away the Franciscan Friars of the Immaculate's privilege to skateboard when he imposed penalties on them this past year.  We do know he banned the Friars from saying the transitional Mass of John XXIII of 1962 which helped lay the foundation for the Novus Ordo Missae because to Francis it smacks too much of traditionalism!  After all change is good isn't it?  Anyone seen a skateboarding Friar recently?

Maybe Francis wants these Friars to be on the Vatican Demo Team?  They could take the 'New Evangelization' to the streets Francis loves so much.  Nothing like the "traditional" jumping of a burning fire on a skateboard for the Vigil of All Saints Day!  To quote Francis, "who are (we) to judge?"

  1. Isn't jumping fire a pagan rite? I have seen pictures of people jumping over fire as an act of pagan worship. This is such a strange image. There is no precedent I can think of in the analogy of the faith.

    1. Francis then proposed his famous challenge. He said: “If you yet waver between Christ and Mohammed, order a fire kindled and I will go into it with your priests that you may see which is the true Faith”

  2. "And with what right will Modernists deny the truth of an experience affirmed by a follower of Islam? With what right can they claim true experiences for Catholics alone? Indeed Modernists do not deny but actually admit, some confusedly, others in the most open manner, that all religions are true." (Section 14 Pascendi)

  3. All religions are true quests for God, but only in one religion has God revealed Himself.
