Francis' compassion or indifference to a little girl in the Philippines?

It was only one month ago, when Francis visited the Philippines.  During his trip he said and did many things.  So many, we can't keep up with them all!  One of these which astounded us but shouldn't have, after all it was Francis, was his un-Catholic answer to a tearful street child.  Below is the raw untranslated video of Francis' encounter with this girl.  Immediately following that, is Michael's, over at Public Vigil, take on what happened.  Lastly, some quotes we added which address the subject.

bergoglio the atheist

bergoglio the atheist
A twelve year old girl in the Philippines asked bergoglio, "Why do children suffer?"... and then broke down in tears...
bergoglio responded that "there is no answer"... and then gave her a hug...
... he might as well have answered "because there is no God"...
... by saying "there is no answer" he was saying to this little girl... "there is no God"... this is the answer that Nietzsche would have given... "there is no answer... because there is no God..."
The girl's question when properly understood is a question about the existence of God...
... the answer she hears from the world all around her is that God is a lie... where is your God... why doesn't he help the children... you see little girl that  you have been lied to... God does not exist... and if He does exist then he must be a cruel God...
... and bergoglio affirmed this by saying "there is no answer"...
And yet... and yet...
... there was no uprise of popular indignation and protest... on the contrary there was great praise for bergoglio... did you see... he gave the little girl a hug... what a kind and compassionate man he is...
... have we fallen so far... yes, this is the measure of how far we have fallen as a Catholic people... when we do not recognize when our own faith is being trampled upon...
... we should recoil in shock as if someone had trampled upon a Crucifix... instead we oooh and aaah... even as our faith is insulted...
... yes we recognize the insult when it comes to personal matters such as how many children we should have ("rabbit-gate") or insulting depictions of women in a Vatican promo video... matters which are as much (or more) about our humanistic views of "freedom" as they are about anything having to do with our Catholic faith...

For a much more complete and thorough response to this overlooked example of bergoglio's false compassion please see the following Novus Ordo Watch article (yes, they are sedevacantist -- so what?)...

Here is a quote from the article which sums up the very serious nature of bergoglio's empty response...
"What surer way is there to make people lose Faith in God — or begin to have an aversion for Him and get angry at Him — than to say that there is no answer to the problem of suffering, especially the suffering of children and innocent people?"

May God have mercy on us all.

Baltimore Catechism

60. What are the chief punishments of Adam which we inherit through original sin?

The chief punishments of Adam which we inherit through original sin are: death, suffering, ignorance, and a strong inclination to sin.

All things are delivered to me by my Father. And no one knoweth the Son, but the Father: neither doth any one know the Father, but the Son, and he to whom it shall please the Son to reveal him. Come to me, all you that labour, and are burdened, and I will refresh you. Take up my yoke upon you, and learn of me, because I am meek, and humble of heart: and you shall find rest to your souls. For my yoke is sweet and my burden light.

  1. “Many children get involved in drugs and prostitution. Why does God allow these things to happen to us? The children are not guilty of anything... The girl had been abandoned before being sheltered by a church-run community and was once homeless. She had been welcoming the Pope to the university, but broke down as she asked her emotional question. ... The Catholic Church has grappled with a number of scandals in recent years, including the abuse of children by priests. Pope Francis is attempting to move on from this by modernising the church and acting in a more conciliatory manner than his predecessors."

Glad to see the film clip -you can see how both children are reading from a prepared script. You can also see Marini (think that's his name) get up off his seat and give same script to PF. To me it was heinous/scandalous to make this girl read this question in public (notice how she was reading so confidently and proudly (when she was welcoming him (?)) till she got to that part) especially heinous if she may have been in that situation herself. Both girl and boy (who smiles/laughs) show shame to their credit while some of the crowd applauds. PF appears to be a bit surprised and embarrassed himself. Then has to put that bracelet on which is too small for his fat wrist (but white - whereas supposed to be colorful--seems these bracelets are a program started by a protestant church (Calvary) to "save" Philippine children from prostitution:

    http://warinternational.org/programs/threads-of-hope/)

Above ref article states he left his prepared script (I would like to seek what the script said because believe q was planted to further blame children for clergy sex abuse-- i.e. the kids want money so 'tempt' the prelates). His extemporaneous answer (first to blame God then to blame the crowd (while exonerating himself and his NGO): "I invite each one of you to ask yourselves, 'Have I learned how to weep (no tears on his face), how to cry when I see a hungry child, a child on the street who uses drugs, a homeless child, an abandoned child, an abused child, a child that society (VCII) uses as a slave'?” Misses the point that HE and HIS VCII CHURCH used this girl as a SLAVE/mouthpiece to further their VCII agenda (and indoctrinate them like communists do).

P.S. Re: threads of 'hope': I have just been watching film about Bernadette and how children would go collect firewood and bones (not sure for what) to heat their home and men could get day labor. Now w/everything piped in, children make useless 'bracelets' (not even rosaries or lace doilies, embroidery) but badges of shame that advertise child prostitution/destroy shame (I'm against).
