I can't vouch for the accuracy of the information.

  2. Update:
I have spoken with a priest of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church who I personally know quite well. He has informed me that he knew this man as "Archbishop Ambrose Moran" on Long Island, NY in the years 2004-2005. He told me that Moran claimed to be a bishop of the Ukrainian Autocephalous Orthodox Church. This priest I know told me that he offered the funeral mass for what he believed, at the time, to be Moran's mother. The date was January 26, 2005. Moran was able to sing in Slavonic during the Mass. Moran had a chapel inside a private home in East Islip, NY but he had no visible means of support and no parish. About one year after the elderly woman (who was presumed to be his mother) had died, Moran told this priest the government was taking the house in East Islip away from him and that he would have to leave. Had the elderly woman my priest friend buried really been Moran's mother? The priest had not seen a death certificate, which wasn't unusual, and he assumed the funeral home had obtained one. But he has no record of which funeral home was involved in the burial. My priest friend began to have his doubts about Moran due to other things he noticed in the intervening time frame between the burial and Moran's departure/disappearance.

My friend contacted retired Bishop Basil Losten (Eparchy of Stamford, CT) and Bishop Losten has confirmed, that to his knowledge, this man is not a priest nor is he a bishop. There is more to this that I don't wish to add here. If the moderator would like to know more, please advise.

  3. Follow-up to my update above. An interesting thread (over several days) is posted on cathoinfo:

On page 10 of the thread, dated October 3rd, poster +PG+ says he is letting the 'cat out of the bag' but doesn't have time to follow up on all the info. He states that Bill Moran and Ambrose Moran may be brothers. Rev. William Moran is listed with citi ministries in Huntington, Long Island (NY). His phone and email address are listed. It seems citi ministries is comprised of Catholic priests who left active ministry due to marriage or other. They are supposedly screened by bishop-accountability (dot) org. The "about" info on the site states the organization was started by a woman who couldn't find a diocesan priest to minister to her dying mother years ago.

    These are the 2 links:

  4. The cathinfo thread has this- which someone on the thread states is a brand new site. There are lots of photos to view. One, in particular, looks a bit odd. It can be found on "Timeline IV" and it is purportedly dated 1976, of Bishop Ambrose and Josef Cardinal Slipyj outside Holy Wisdom (St. Sophia) Cathedral, Rome, following ceremony of episcopal consecration.

    1. We have seen that photo you mention, of 'bishop' Ambrose and Josef Cardinal Slipyj outside Holy Wisdom (St. Sophia) Cathedral, and it is photoshopped.

    2. So has Ambrose got a least valid Eastern Orthodox Holy Orders?

  5. SSPX-MC. MC = Misfits Corps. Ambrose, Pfeiffer & Chazal deserve each other. Nobody asks why SSPX priests are reluctant to join this group despite Fellay's treachery.

    1. Yes, it does appear that the more splinter groups there are, the more opportunities there are for people's egos, foibles and eccentricities to shine through. It is easier too, for the enemy to make life difficult for smaller groups, which are easier to infiltrate and decimate. I think this may be the case with "Ambrose" and Fr. Pfeiffer's group in KY. The pressure put upon such priests must be enormous.
I watched a video of Fr. Pfeiffer giving a sermon, wherein I think he taught something theologically incorrect, that being that St. Peter, as Pope, denied Christ 3 times. But St. Peter was not yet Pope when he denied Christ. At that time I thought to myself that the pressure must be effecting him. But otherwise, it is a very good sermon, I think, and worth listening to because it addresses the situation between the R&R and sede positions. It's a perspective that I hadn't thought about before. Fr. Pfeiffer is a good speaker. I pray they get to the bottom of this 'Ambrose' situation.

Not to belabor the point, but I'd also be interested in knowing "Ambrose's' genealogy.

This is the sermon by Fr. Pfeiffer:

  6. And now they have Mickey Mouse "sacraments" being as this fake bishop (assuming he also doesn't have Orthodox orders) scouted up by Pablo is on a course of simulating Masses and other sacrileges for the Kentucky circuit. I don't think they are worried, but it's a bit of hypocrisy seeing as they threw a fit when Fr. Zendejas showed up to attend to resistance Mass centers. At least we know who ordained Fr. Zendejas and where he's been for the past decade.

  7. This is not fun and games. Many sincere, traditional Catholics trying to practice their Faith in hard times have been gravely hurt. It goes deeper than just "Ambrose" and at least one seminarian has lost the Faith and many have been harmed in one way or another.

    1. Maria,

You are correct, it isn't "fun and games". We were using the expression "fun and games" with sarcasm or irony. There is certainly a lot more than going on in Boston than mentioned in the post. Hence, us putting up the post hoping those who read it stay away from this cult like group.

    2. The SSPX "Resisters" did no background checks on these MC/SO priests, but eagerly embraced them as heroes and saviors. The consequences of this neglect are there for all to see!
The SSPX itself has never released figures as to how many candidates entered it's seminaries and how many finally graduated. Neither has it revealed how many of it's priests have left it, for the Conciliar Church, to go elsewhere in Tradition or to leave the priesthood altogether. It usually holds up a figure of several hundred priests and about a million faithful - even though it has never conducted a global census on the latter group. Yet,people seem to be taken in by this, and even Jorge Bergoglio mentioned the SSPX by name in granting them Novus Ordo faculties during his Novus Ordo "Year of Mercy".

  8. Has Fr Chazal issued any statement since the above posted video? How long would it take for an email to reach his Superior-General, Fr Pfeiffer? Or to make a phonecall?

    1. Well "his" priest, Fr Suelo was taken critically ill and all resources had to be diverted in his direction. The Ambrose issue will just have to disappear?

  9. Dear All, I am Milan Gavrilo Kucera, Titular Archbishop of Moravia (Greek Orthodox Church, one of her 57 Metropolitan Synods). I did investigation into the man known as Archbishop Ambrose Moran, because this curious case caught my interest. We were not able to ascertain his ordinations prior to 2007 (either Eastern Catholic or Ukrainian Orthodox), but we have ascertained that in 2007 in Denver the Archbishop was accepted by laying on of hands and episcopal prayers by Gregory (Abu-Asaly) the Archbishop of Colorado of the Holy Genuine Orthodox Church of America, one of the Russian jurisdictions in the USA of the Eastern Orthodox Church. For Orthodox, it is not of much importance what was before an illegitimate bishop is accepted by a recognized Eastern Orthodox jurisdiction, because Orthodoxy always performs a special liturgical rite, there is laying on of hands and episcopal prayer of an Archbishop or Metropolitan, and usually one or two more bishops. After that, whtever flaws or lacking elements there may have been before, now it is all cured/healed. We have proof this laying on of hands and episcopal prayer did in fact occur on Ambrose Moran, from the hands of the above mentioned Archbishop Gregory. Archbishop Gregory was ordained into episcopate on December 2, 2001, in Suzdal (Russia) by Valentin (Rusantsov) the Metropolitan of Suzdal and Theodore (Gineyevsky) the Archbishop of Sanino, of the Russian Orthodox Church. Metropolitan Valentin is a well-known Russian Orthodox hierarch, his apostolic succession is public record. Hope this helped! I leave a reference to an article and some photos of Abp. Gregory and Abp. Absrose. In Christ, +Gavrilo
