  1. Desecration of Virgin Mary Statue Marked by Protests and Reparation. The only place Our Lady wasn’t welcomed was on the sidewalk in front of St. Joseph’s Old Cathedral. Our Lady was excluded and barred from even being processed on the sidewalk in front of the church. This was at the behest of the ushers of the parish and than enforced by the police. So we crossed back over the street singing our hymns. http://www.cfnews.org/page88/files/7b63489f6bacbedb038eddf1172b2e9c-512.html

  2. Oh,my.....the German Shepherd had so many people in St.Peter's, how is it possible? Is the Bergie's effect over? The news about the 400.000 people passing through the Holy Door is a fake, there are no pilgrims in Rome, the year of mercy is a fiasco.

  3. I have a couple of friends who live in Rome and I've heard the same from them. No where near as many people coming as they prepare for.

Can't really figure out what this Holy Year is trying to get at. Why not start having random Holy Years for charity, hope, faith, prudence, temperance, the other virtues, the different gifts of the Holy Spirit, etc.

    1. Well, there was a Year of Faith instigated by Pope Benedict XVI, but at least that made some sense, unlike this Year. An Extraordinary Holy Jubilee Year for Mercy, or for heresy? All will soon be revealed...
