Laudato si' in action

Peter Hamilton Raven, the President of the Pontifical Academy of Sciences

“Pope Francis has urged us to have fewer children to make the world more sustainable.”

*This quote has since been corrected by the media to:

We need at some point to have a limited number of people which is why Pope Francis and his three most recent predecessors have always argued that you should not have more children than you can bring up properly.”

  1. God has commanded us to be fruitful and multiply (Gen 1:28). Hmmm. Who do you believe? Pope Francis is the vicar of Satan. He has come only to lie, kill, steal and destroy. May God rebuke him we humbly pray: may the Blessed Virgin crush his head and St. Michael thrust him into the lower parts of the earth. Subito. Subito.

  2. Its hard to imagine a more anti-Catholic statement. Consider this in light of European peoples not even reproducing at the minimum replacement rate and you see something that could be called white genocide.

  3. How can I save a dying tree?
A dying tree requires ongoing attention that may or may not eliminate the disease.
Matthew 12:33 Either make the tree good and its fruit good: or make the tree evil, and its fruit evil. For by the fruit the tree is known.

  4. "CORRECTION: Vatican academy member misquoted in story on Pope Francis
March 6, 2017 (LifeSiteNews) – On March 3, LifeSite published an article originally titled: “'Pope Francis has urged us to have fewer children,' claims Vatican academy member.” That article misquoted botanist and environmentalist Peter Raven, who was reported to have said at a Vatican press conference that, “Pope Francis has urged us to have fewer children to make the world more sustainable.” After reviewing audio recordings of the press conference, LifeSite has amended the story to accurately reflect Raven’s words.

What he actually said was, "We need at some point to have a limited number of people which is why Pope Francis and his three most recent predecessors have always argued that you should not have more children than you can bring up properly."

LifeSite sincerely regrets the error and has taken steps to ensure that similar errors do not occur in future. LifeSite places a very high priority on accuracy in reporting and this error violated that constant standard."
