Not true. This is the centuries-old tradition of the Kashubians. It was supposed to be a dance of a painting in the sea. Tradition from the XVII/XVIII century
This video is being posted all over the internet to show that Polish are not really Catholic, and that this dance is sacrilege. If there is some Kashubian Catholic explanation, can you please provide some insight and documentation or links?
First time my wife and I see this and we were born there. Must be a local tradition of some sort. Looks like is something that is not just willie nillie and has some meaning. Will research and update once I get more info.
