Opus Dei Watch

The website akaCatholic has been publishing the research of Randy Engel on Opus Dei.  Both have done a great service to English language readers as it is difficult to find honest reporting in English on Opus Dei as the personal prelature keeps a tight lid on what is written about them through their full spectrum dominance of the religious medias.  While we at Call Me Jorge... don’t agree with everything Randy Engel writes, she should be given kudos for shining the light on Opus Dei.

October prayer request — journalists

Francis dreams and prays of making the media a servant of his modernist ‘culture of encounter’

As usual, there is no Christ nor anything resembling the Catholic Faith in this video.

As for joining Francis in his New World Order prayer request...

NO!

Francis gives Italian journalists a tongue lashing, strongly implying that they are “terrorists” and “weapons of destruction” for not being supportive enough of the Moslem ‘refugees’.

“I have often talked about the rumors as "terrorism", of how you can kill a person with the language. If this applies to individuals, with family or at work, it is all the more true for journalists, because their voices can reach everyone, and this is a very powerful weapon. Journalism should always respect the dignity of the person. An article published today or tomorrow will be replaced by another, but the life of a person unjustly maligned may be destroyed forever. Of course criticism is legitimate, and I will say necessary, as well as the denunciation of evil, but this must always be done respecting the other, his life, his affections. Journalism can not become a ''weapon of destruction" of people and even nations. Neither does he have to feed the fear in front of changes or phenomena such as forced migration by war or hunger.

I hope that more and more and everywhere journalism is one building tool, a common good factor, an accelerator of the reconciliation process; who knows how to reject the temptation to foment a clash with a language that fan the flames of division, and instead favors the culture of encounter...”

From 2015, Libero an Italian newspaper’s headline reads, “Attack in Paris: Islamic Bastards”.  The newspaper was sued for using this language and it is the type of article Francis was criticizing in his address to Italian journalists.

Will Francis be getting a facebook account next?

Before this week ends, Francis will have an instagram account. This is after Francis told children at his general audience on 06 August 2014 not to waste time playing with hollow things such as chatting on the internet and playing with their cell phones.  Francis, you say it is bad but then your actions betray you.  Which is it Francis?  Who appears hollow now?

Greg Burke gets promoted!

Burke an Opus Dei numerary is now the new vice director of the Holy See Press Office.

Above is Burke in 2013 discussing his role as senior communications adviser at the Secretariat of State and the upcoming planned reforms in communications at the Holy See.  This position was a behind-the-scenes role in which Burke was responsible for the Holy See’s media strategy and improving the public image of the reigning pontiffs.

Francis reportedly invites scumbag Ari Emanuel to the Vatican

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Francis' representatives have approached Patrick Whitesell, Brian Grazer, Oprah Winfrey, Matt Damon and David Geffen in addition to Ari Emanuel to a special meeting which will take place at the Vatican in the fall.  Francis, "apparently is interested in discussing how the church is perceived by Western media influencers and ways to improve its portrayal in entertainment."

Is Francis' elevator out of order?  Doesn't he realize these same people are responsible for using Christ's name in vain and God's name in vain in television, the movies, and music?  These same people are also guilty of pushing sex in their products.  How about misogyny and curse words?  What about immoral dress?  Or sodomy?  Or gratuitous violence?  And drug use?  We at Call Me Jorge... believe that Francis' elevator is fully functional and that he shares these revolutionary values with these vile people.

Francis should worry less about how the church is perceived by the Talmudic Jewish media and be more concerned about how God perceives him and his un-Catholic behavior.

Francis' Hasidic concept of the god of surprises

Recently, we have posted, Reading Francis through Heschel, and re-posted an entry from Maurice Pinay, Pharisee Pope Francis teaches for doctrine the contrivances of the rabbis, which show Francis' ideas come straight out of the Hasidic branch of Talmudic Judaism.

Francis met with young people during his recent trip to Manila.  In his remarks to them, he touched upon one of his favorite themes which was that 'God is a God of surprise'.

"Real love is about loving and letting yourself be loved. It’s harder to let yourself be loved than to love. That is why it is so difficult to come to the perfect love of God. We can love Him but we must let ourselves be loved by Him. Real love is being open to the love that comes to you. The love that surprises us. If you only have information you are not surprised. Love surprises because it opens a dialogue of loving and being loved. God is a God of surprise because He loved us first. God awaits us to surprise us. Let us allow ourselves to be surprised by God. Let us not have a computer psychology that makes us think we know it all. All answers on computers - but no surprises. The challenge of love. God reveals himself through surprises.
Think of St Matthew. He was a good banker. But he let people down because he imposed taxes against his own people to give to the Romans. He was full of money. Jesus passed by, looked at him and said: “Follow me”. He couldn’t believe it. It you have the opportunity, see Caravaggio’s picture of him. Jesus calls him and those around say: “Him? He betrayed us! He is no good! He hoards money!” But the surprise of being loved overcomes him. The day when Matthew left home for work, saying goodbye to his wife, he couldn’t imagine he would come home without money and have to prepare a feast for the one who loved him first. God surprised Matthew more than the money he had. Allow yourselves to be surprised by God. Don’t be afraid of surprises. They shake the ground beneath our feet and make us insecure, but they move us forward in the right direction."

The first time we became aware of this idea which Francis encourages was in his closing address to the Synod on the Family.

One, a temptation to hostile inflexibility, that is, wanting to close oneself within the written word, (the letter) and not allowing oneself to be surprised by God, by the God of surprises, (the spirit); within the law, within the certitude of what we know and not of what we still need to learn and to achieve. From the time of Christ, it is the temptation of the zealous, of the scrupulous, of the solicitous and of the so-called – today – “traditionalists” and also of the intellectuals.

He returned again to this theme in 19 December 2015 in a homily,

"From sterility, the Lord is able to restart a new lineage, a new life. And that is the message of today. When humanity is exhausted and can no longer go forward, grace comes, the Son comes and Salvation comes. And that exhausted Creation gives way to a new creation.”

"This too makes me think of our mother Church and of so much sterility within our Mother Church: when because of the weight of the hope in the Commandments, that pelagianism that all of us carry within our bones, she becomes sterile. She believes she is capable of giving birth… no, she can’t! The Church is a mother and only becomes a mother when she opens to the newness of God, to the strength of the Spirit. When she says to herself: "I do everything, but I’ve finished, I can’t go forward!”, the Spirit comes.”

"And today is also a day to pray for our Mother Church, because of so much sterility within the people of God. A sterility arising from egoism, from power … when the Church believes she can do everything, that she can take charge of the consciences of the people, walk along the road of the Pharisees, of the Sadducees, along the road of hypocrisy, yes, the Church is sterile. Let’s pray. That this Christmas our Church may be open to the gift of God, that she may allow herself to be surprised by the Holy Spirit and be a Church that gives birth, a mother Church. Many times I think that in some places the Church is more like an entrepreneur than a mother.”

The Child and the Thief

In the book, Hasidic Tales: Annotated & Explained, by Rabbi Rami Shapiro, there is the story of a rabbi who wants to obtain enlightenment concerning the Ten Principles of Divine Service, so he visits his rabbi for advice.  His rabbi tell him that he can learn the first three principles from a child and the last seven from a thief.  Rabbi Shapiro in his notes to this tale explains some of the qualities of God.

Francis has even borrowed the concept of a child's love for his mother as being like a person's love for god from Hasidism.  Francis homily on 11 December 2015,

“God’s closeness is such that he is presented like a mother, a mother who talks to her baby, and sings lullabies to her baby” The Pope said that the mother even taken on the voice and the language of a child so much so she can seem ridiculous if one does not understand how great the context actually is..."

Barbara Lerner Spectre, who is infamous for one of her anti-Christian quotes (see video below) and is trying to eradicate Christianity from Europe, also believes in a God of surprises.  In an essay she wrote on Judith, the hidden heroine of Hannukah one reads,

straight from Barbara's own mouth

Interestingly, Francis with his pro-illegal immigration policy appears on the surface to also share in this goal of transforming Europe's religious demographics.   We guess Francis would sum it up by chuckling and saying, 'God is going to surprise the Europeans.'  On the return flight to Rome from Manila Francis taught,

"That example i mentioned shortly before about that woman who was expecting her eighth (child) and already had seven who were born with caesareans.  That is an irresponsibility (That woman might say) 'no but I trust in god'  But God gives you methods to be responsible. Some think that, excuse me if i use that word, that in order to be good Catholics we have to be like rabbits. No. Responsible parenthood! This is clear and that is why in the church there are marriage groups, there are experts in this matter, there are pastors, one can seek and i know so many, many ways out that are licit and that have helped this. you did well to ask me this"

This sounds to our ears as if Francis telling Catholics it is OK not to have large families.  Yes, he does use the word 'licit' but in today's world of the poorly catechised, how many know and understand what Francis was saying?  (We are giving Francis every benefit of the doubt here.)  We fear that like the media all that the listener heard was 'good Catholics shouldn't breed like rabbits'.

In a future essay we hope to write, we plan on addressing Francis' theme of 'encountering God' and how this concept has also been adopted from Hasidism which considers it one of the central tenets of their man-made religion.

This brings us at Call Me Jorge... to ask rhetorically, why doesn't Francis take his concepts of God from the tradition of the Catholic Faith as handed down by the Church?

Francis does it again!

Who does Francis think he is, Sun Myung MoonThis past Sunday, Francis married twenty couples in one giant wedding ceremony at St. Peter's Basilica.  What made it different was the touch Francis put on it.  See dear reader, Francis had his people at the Vatican seek out those on the fringes of society.  You know those living publicly in open sin!  Next, he didn't even enforce the dress code which a tourist must follow when visiting St. Peter's!  There were many sleeveless wedding gowns and more than a few which were low cut to show off their owner's cleavage.  Have no fear though, Michael Voris of the Vortex will either ignore this or tell his listeners, it was all part of a conspiracy cooked up by the evil bishops.  We fear this was a trial balloon to test the reaction of Catholics in order to gauge how far they should push the line at of the upcoming Synod on the Family.  Time we tell if we are correct in our assessment.  Francis must be happy because he got this revolutionary change in his church in the headlines of the news:

A little flu cannot slow down Francis' revolution

(Francis meeting with Argentinian interfaith group returning from Israel.)
Francis did a rare thing today.  He canceled an appearance he was to make at a seminary in Rome due to coming down with the flu.  Reporters in the Vatican press pool must have sighed in relief.  It is only the second time he has canceled for illness since his reign began.  It is not known what caused the illness.  Could he have gotten it yesterday when he welcomed 45 visitors returning from Israel?  The delegation which went to the Holy Land consisted of 15 Muslims, 15 Jews, and 15 Catholics all from Argentina.  This interfaith trip was the trial run for Francis' planned visit of Israel on May 24-26.

Many are praying Francis gets well but others according to some are not praying for his good health to return.  Cardinal Maradiaga told the Catholic News Agency, "I heard some say they are praying that Francis will die soon.  This is bad and such people think they are Christians."  Maradiaga prefaced his remarks with a statement that all are not happy with the changes Francis is making, implying they want Francis to die.  Die?  This man is the best thing to ever happen to the Novus Ordo faith!  People are leaving the Novus Ordo church in droves and seeking out the Catholic Faith!

In other news it was announced today, Francis will soon have a facebook page in addition to the nine twitter accounts he currently has.  One can hope he has it up and running before Lent and the Vatican posts many pictures demonstrating the apostasy presently happening.  Here is the bombshell, today it was announced yesterday a married man was ordained a priest!

(Manal Kassab, Rev. Wissam Akiki, and their daughter Perla)
Below are parts of an article which ran in the USA Today, Married St. Louis deacon to be ordained as priest, 25 February 2014 as always underline are ours.
"In the Middle East, it is normal (for a priest) to be married," Zaidan said Tuesday. "Here, this is the first."
The Maronite church is one of several Eastern Rite churches — including Armenian, Chaldean and some Byzantine Catholics — that recognize the authority of the pope in Rome. Many Maronite Christians in the U.S. trace their lineage to present-day Lebanon and Syria.
Although Roman Catholic priests are not allowed to marry, Catholic priests who married before they were approved for ordination are allowed to remain married. An example: Catholic priests who were converts from the Anglican communion and other Protestant denominations.
"The Vatican was open to it on a case-by-case basis," said Zaidan, and Pope Francis approved Akiki's ordination, which was in the pipeline for about a year.
William Ditewig, executive professor of theology at Santa Clara University in California, said Pope John Paul II opened the door for this possibility decades ago in his encyclical calling for the traditions of the Eastern churches to be respected.
"I'm reluctant to project too much too fast" for the Roman Catholic church and the future of married priests, said Ditewig, who also works for the Roman Catholic Diocese of Monterey. "I think this is interesting and significant, but I don't necessarily think it is earth shattering."...
..."In the United States, the ordination of married men to the priesthood is not just a 'fix' to the priest shortage but rather a re-establishment of an ancient and honored tradition in the Maronite church," Zaidan wrote in this month's Maronite newsletter.
From the Opposing Views article, Pope Francis Allows Married Father To Become A Priest, 28 February 2014.
The Vatican banned this exemption in the U.S. in the 1920s because bishops complained it was too confusing to parishioners. It remained a common practice in the Middle East and Europe...
..."He'll be a wonderful priest," said parishioner Linda Hill, 54. "The fact that he's married will be exciting for the church. It's tradition in the old country. I guess we're finally catching up to the old country."
While the exception doesn’t open the door to non-celibacy for all priests, the move is just one in a string of unprecedented actions taken by Francis.
Last year the pope sparked controversy when he said, “If someone is gay and he searches for the Lord and has good will, who am I to judge?"
He has encouraged the Church to think outside the box and be more "open."
We cannot insist only on issues related to abortion, gay marriage and the use of contraceptive methods...We have to find a new balance; otherwise even the moral edifice of the church is likely to fall like a house of cards, losing the freshness and fragrance of the Gospel,” he said in another 2013 interview.
"Instead of being just a church that welcomes and receives by keeping the doors open,” he added, “let us try also to be a church that finds new roads, that is able to step outside itself and go to those who do not attend Mass, to those who have quit or are indifferent. The ones who quit sometimes do it for reasons that, if properly understood and assessed, can lead to a return. But that takes audacity and courage."
Did you catch all that?
  • Francis approved Akiki's ordination,
  • Rev. Akiki recognizes and submits to the authority of Francis as Pope,
  • the soon to be canonized John Paul II had a role in it,
  • it is the re-establishment of tradition in the church,
  • and having a married priest is exciting!

Last Friday (21 Feb. 2014) Francis gave a sermon to those in attendance at his morning Novus Ordo Missae, including many bishops, "those who fall into casuistry or ideology are Christians who know doctrine but who lack faith. Like the demons, with the difference that the demons tremble, whereas these do not: they live in peace."  This morning in his sermon at the Casa Santa Marta Francis discussed love, marriage, family, and wait for it 'casuistry'. Francis said, casuistry is of the Pharisees and, "is always a trap." Using (casuistry) sound principles to solve thorny moral problems as Saint Alphonsus Maria de Liguori did according to Francis is wrong.  Is St. Liguori worse than a demon or like a Pharisee?  Casuistry is an essential part of thought when based on principles and established conclusions of moral theology.

Francis wants everything to come from the experience and the feelings associated with it.  This is full blown modernism. (see Pope St. Pius XPascendi Dominici Gregis)  We remind the reader the same great Saint made all clergy, pastors, confessors, preachers, religious superiors, and professors in philosophical-theological seminaries take an Oath Against Modernism.  That is quite different from Francis' attitude towards the modernism he has embraced wholeheartedly with both mind and body.   Casuistry must be too scholastic for Francis! For as Francis recently said, "Studying fundamental theology is one of the most boring things on earth."  This is how the modernists and Francis accomplish their revolution in the Novus Ordo church.  One step forward, two step backwards, always moving, and distracting those who follow them with their latest gaffs.  And they don't forget to slander those who speak the truth as enemies of Our Lord.

Francis to meet Super Pope!

(artist Mauro Pallotta with his Super-Pope)
Let us spray!  It's a bird, it's a plane, Francis is going to meet pop artist, Mauro Pallotta!  Tomorrow, Mauro will be one of the guests at Francis' general audience and will get the chance to talk with him. Mauro excitedly wrote,
"I am honored by this opportunity that has been given to me by the Holy Father. The 'Super-Pope' which I will donate (to Francis) tomorrow is a special version designed especially for him."
Will Francis in an act of spontaneity let Pallotta adorn a Vatican wall with his latest 'graffiti art'?  Stay tuned...

Jorge gets a doctorate or not?

**** UPDATED on 19 February 2014 *****
UPDATES IN RED

The media and the Vatican report Jorge has a doctorate in theology from St. George’s in Frankfurt, Germany.  In the book, Pope Francis: Conversations with Jorge Bergoglio: His Life in His Own Words, by Sergio Rubin and Francesca Ambrogetti it is mentioned that Jorge completed his thesis on Romano Guardini.  When St. George’s was contacted for information on his thesis they said Bergoglio had planned on writing a thesis for a doctorate on Romano Guardini but he never completed it.*

Romano Guardini wrote a book, Spirit of the Liturgy, which influenced many members of the ‘Liturgical Movement’ and was president of the Catholic Youth Movement.  According to Karl Rahner, what Guardini did with the liturgy at his youth center was the model for the liturgical reforms of Vatican II.**

Super Pope Returns

Just when you would think his fifteen minutes of fame ran out, the artist Mauro Pallotta is back with his SuperFrancis.  Not content to stick his street art on one wall in Rome, it reappears in the earthquake devastated town of L'Aquila where the kitsch art shows up in the window of an abandoned shop in the town's Piazza Duomo.  And Pallota's reason for this,
"I chose to bring up the Super-Pope just because today in L'Aquila is the anniversary of the apparition of Our Lady of Lourdes, hence also the establishment of the World Day of the Sick. I believe that L'Aquila is still very hurt and that the City, as well as its citizens are in need of positivity."
How could street art put up illegally which demeans the 'Office of the Papacy' bring about positivity?

Wouldn't getting down on one's knees and saying the Rosary do more for them?

Apparently, Pallotta wants his and Francis fame to continue as every ten days Super Pope will appear on a new building somewhere.  He has also set up a  website, twitter, and facebook for Super Pope.  The Vatican has continued to give their benevolence and support to the project through official channels.

We still wonder if this guerrilla marketing is in someway connected to the pro-sodomite public relations firms Francis has hired to help sell his image.

Comic book hero for a Novus Ordo Church

(Above left, is a 1982 Superman promo piece by Jose Luis Garcia Lopez &
above right, is 2014 SuperFrancis graffiti by Mauro Pallotta.)

The Vatican and its accomplice the mainstream media portray Francis as a comic book hero.  In the comics Superman is the savior of the world but in reality, Christ is Our Savior.   It seems the world through its infatuation with Francis' persona is ignoring the crucifixion of Our Lord.  All of this is a perfect reflection of the man-centered Novus Ordo Missae & the heretical 2nd Vatican Council.

Let us spray! It's a bird, it's a plane, it's gone?

The spontaneous appearing SuperFrancis has disappeared.  As fast as the street artist, Mauro Pallotta, graffitied the side of a building in the Borgio Pio neighborhood, the Commune of Rome decided to paint over the eyesore.  Amazing the secular government of Rome shows more sense than the Francis led Novus Ordo Vatican!  The Vatican tweeted to over 85,000 followers:

To graffiti the side of a building is against the law in Italy and considered an act of vandalism.  So why was the Vatican tweeting to the world graffiti of SuperFrancis?  Not only was the work against the law but it was also demeaning to the dignity (if there is any left) of the Office of the Papacy.  Just another day in the personality cult of Francis.
