Bí Thusa ’mo shúile

Bí Thusa ’mo shúile is the Irish hymn, Be Thou My Vision, in the modern Irish language. This translation was rendered by Máire Brennan’s grandfather, and sung by Máire Brennan herself.  The original text in Old Irish is often attributed to Saint Dallán Forgaill sometime in the 6th century and was part of Irish monastic tradition for centuries before being set to music.  Bí Thusa ’mo shúile is a type of prayer that belongs to what is classified as a lorica, a prayer for protection.

We guess one should be happy John Klein is playing a guitar rather than following in the footsteps of Marcial Maciel and his less than exemplar behaviors.

Maradiaga's song for Francis

Have some Novus Ordo fun!

Today's entertainment is brought to us by Cardinal Maradiaga, a member of Francis' Council of Cardinals.  Maridiaga sings a tune he composed in honor for Francis on COPE (Cadena de Ondas Populares Españolas translated as "People's Radiowaves of Spain Network") a Spanish radio network owned by a series of institutions within the Spanish Catholic Church.  Maradiaga just completed his 2nd five-year term as president of Caritas Internationalis.  One thing good we can say about Rodriguez Maradiaga is that he is a better singer than he is a giver of speeches.

Why didn't he bring his saxophone along?

POPE is POP

The origins of connecting Francis with pop aptly comes from WYD Rio 2013.  It was shortly before his visit to Rio that the youth there began referring to Francis as the "Pop Pope".  These videos from the Novus Ordo church with the song POPE is POP sum up Francis and his pontificate.  The Novus Ordo's last hurrah is the media driven popularity of Francis.  Like eating cotton candy, Francis provides no spiritual substance nor does he pass on any traditional church teachings.  What he does is sell poison to the masses while telling them it is spiritual nourishment.

Get your Francis bobbleheads to add to your pop culture collection of kitsch!

Sex on the table

***************************************************
WARNING EXPLICIT IMAGES PORTRAYING SEX IN A NOVUS ORDO CHURCH ON THE TABLE
***************************************************

Mark Wilkinson aka DJ Wilkinson recently released a new song, Half Life, and music video to accompany it. So far so good, but here is where it gets interesting...

...as the Belfast Telegraph relates,

Half Light depicts a young couple – played by Irish actors Joanna Nixon and Diarmuid Noyes – simulating a sex scene on the altar of Good Shepherd Catholic Church on south Belfast's Ormeau Road....
...The video shows the pair – portraying a Catholic and a Protestant – meeting on a night out in a club and enjoying a drink and drug-fuelled evening together.
The pair take in some of the sights of Belfast while drink-driving and having a hedonistic dance-off atop a mountain.
The man then carries the girl over his shoulder into the chapel where he proceeds to quench his thirst by drinking from the holy water font before blessing himself.
The pair then jump and slide across the pews before stripping off and having 'sex' on the altar. Local director Aoife McArdle was given permission to film in the church, but local priests Father Patrick McKenna and Father Robert Fullerton were horrified when they viewed the video's content and successfully got the illicit scenes removed.
Another one from the you have to be kidding me file. Are these priests so stupid as to think, "Hey let's give permission to film a music video in a Novus Ordo church." Haven't they ever heard of the phrase sex, drugs, and rock 'n roll? Do they not know what this means? These priests gave permission  to film in the church  but decided not to surpervise the rock 'n roll video filmmakers.  Did they not ask around about Aoife's work or DJ Wilkinson's?  Is this the sorry excuse that passes for a, post Vatican II Novus Ordo, priest?

No dear reader, they didn't take Francis totally to heart with, "Who am I to judge?" When the dioceses was informed by parishioners they took action!  Fr. Fullerton read a statement after the Sunday service from the Diocese of Down and Connor,

"For these reasons, to protect the church and its parishioners, the Diocese of Down and Connor immediately brought these concerns to the attention of the distributors and creators of the material."
"No permission was either sought or granted to film the interior of the parish church within the context of any conduct or activities that were not relating to prayer or homage and in accordance with the sanctity of the church."
...And so the video was taken down from the internet and another more suitable video was put up in its place.  The subject matter and theme are the same in the edited version of Half Life, but none of the video takes place in a church anymore.

We here at Call Me Jorge... just wrote about another blasphemous video El Cuerpo De Cristo which was shot in Argentina (see, Barf!) and now this from "Catholic" Ireland?  To think, Ireland used to export missionary priests to the world, now the priests & bishops they have in Belfast need to be catechized and given a good dose of common Catholic sense.

Suor Cristina just wants to have fun

(We have a winner!)
Suor Cristina is back on The Voice of Italy. This time singing and dancing to the Cyndi Lauper pop song Girls Just Want to Have Fun!  Suor Cristina took on challenger Luna Palumbo in a sing-off competition and was victorious.  Before entering the singing ring for her battle Suor Cristina said,
"I have been living with nervousness this time, but there is someone who wants me to do this from above and I hope to bring my message of joy to all."
What's next a duet with Francis singing Frank Sinatra's I Did It My Way or AC/DC's Highway to Hell?  Isn't it Holy Week in Italy?  Why weren't Suor Cristina and the other nuns in her order in church for Tenebrae?  Does the Novus Ordo church even have Tenebrae?  This shows perfectly what the counterfeit church of Francis is all about.  Don't go to church to reflect on Our Lord's life & His Passion instead go on television, sing an inappropriate song, and gyrate your body.  But it is OK because Suor Cristina told us "someone wants" her to do this!

Please dear reader, while you are in church during Holy Week, pray that Suor Cristina and Francis, through the Grace of God, will find the Faith.

The lyrics to Girls Just Want to Have Fun! and click here to read about the history of the song on wikipedia.
I come home, in the mornin' light
My mother says "When you gonna live your life right?"
Oh momma dear, we're not the fortunate ones
And girls, they wanna have fun
Oh, girls just wanna have fun
Huh!

The phone rings in the middle of the night
My father yells "What you gonna do with your life?"
Oh daddy dear, you know you're still number one
But girls they wanna have fun
Oh girls just wanna have

That's all they really want
Some fun
When the workin' day is done
Oh girls, they wanna have fun

Ho, girls just wanna have (girls) fun (they want)
(Wanna have fun)
(Girls)
(Wanna have)

Some boys take a beautiful girl
And hide her away from the rest of the world
I wanna be the one to walk in the sun
Oh girls, they wanna have fun
Ho, girls just wanna have

That's all they really want
Is some fun
When the workin' day is done
Oh girls, they wanna have fun

Oh, girls just wanna have fun (girls, they want)
(Wanna have fun)
(Girls)
(Wanna have)

They just want, they just wanna (girls)
They just want, they just wanna (girls just wanna have fun)
Oh girls

Girls just wanna have fun
(Just want, they just wanna)
They just want, they just wanna (girls)
They just want, they just wanna (girls just wanna have fun)
Girls, girls just wanna have fun

When the workin'
When the workin' day is done
Oh, when the workin' day is done
Oh, girls
Girls just wanna have fun, everybody, heh heh

They just want, they just wanna (girls)
They just want, they just wanna (girls just wanna have fun)
Oh, girls
Girls just wanna have fun
(They just wanna, they just wanna)

When the workin'
When the working day is done (they just want, they just wanna)
Oh, when the working day is done
Oh girls (Girls just wanna have fun)

Oh, girls
Girls just wanna have fun
(They just want, they just wanna)

Suor Cristina - Sister Act?

With the Novus Ordo church everything is surreal.  When you have changed all the sacraments and the highlight is a man-centered Novus Ordo Missae what else is expected?  Last night on an Italian television program named The Voice of Italy there appeared a singing nun.  Suor Cristina or Sister Cristina formerly Cristina Scuccia is Sicilian and twenty-five years old.  She currently lives in Milan where she is a Ursuline nun of the Holy Family.  Suor Cristina has dreamed since childhood of becoming a professional singer.  It was music that originally attracted her to the convent.  In 2008 the Ursuline nuns were having tryouts for a musical which Cristina happened to chance upon.  At the time she was in rebellion against the Novus Ordo church but she was cast in the part of a sister and she fell in love with being a nun.  This isn't the first time she has appeared on television.  Franco Simone, Cristina's music teacher, had a television program, Star Rose Academy, in which he invited her to compete on.  From that previous experience she went on to the Good News Festival 2013 which she won. Finally Suor Cristina appears on The Voice of Italy which we will briefly discuss.

(Suor Cristina performing Alicia Key's No One)

The following quotes have been translated from the Italian to English and are not perfect as we didn't have a transcript to work from nor the time to transcribe everything said but it does give the reader an idea of how the Italian judges and Suor Cristina view the Novus Ordo church.

After finishing singing with the crowd standing and chanting, "sister, sister, sister..." the judges said what they thought of Suor Cristina in hopes of getting her to choose to be on one of their singing teams...

"You're the sister I'm the uncle, if you sing in church on Sundays with the donations they can
avoid paying the taxes, if I found you as a child when I went to church, I would be Pope!
You and I are unbeatable, we are the devil and holy water, you have to come with me."
- J-Ax -

"Good evening sister, but are you really a nun? How did it enter your mind to come on
The Voice ...? I do not understand anything, your welcome to choose."
- Raffaella Carra -

"When I turned around I thought I had a vision problem, I also like the choice of
the modern song, I am holy water like you, we are an
impeccable duo, do not choose the devils."
- Noemi -

"I still have not woken up from when I turned around, I'm pinching myself, you're
amazing, can you imagine what it would be if we are in the same team
together, let's make holes in the ground, call it what
you would like my mother, go in peace."
- Piero Pelu -

Who do you think Suor Cristina chose?

She picked J-Ax who flashed the 'corna' or 'devil horns' before he hugged her.  As she relates, "I had promised myself that I would chose the first (judge) to turn around."

(Italian rapper J-Ax flashing devil horns.)
(How religious are treated in the Novus Ordo church.)
(Fellow nuns cheer on Sister Cristina.)
(Suor Cristina giving the devil horns.)

When asked why she was on The Voice of Italy she replied of her fellow nuns who were behind the stage "they have been pushing me to participate."

Suor Cristina also said,

"I'm a nun very true, I came to The Voice because
I have a gift I give you."

"Because he (Francis) invites us to go out, to evangelize,
to say that God does not detract, in fact
gives us even more. I'm here for this."

Raffaella Carra asked, "What do you believe the Vatican thinks of you?"

Suor Cristina replied, "I hope Pope Francis calls me now!"

Can you believe this is what passes for a religious in the Novus Ordo church?  Nuns used to go to Mass,  pray, teach in catholic schools, perform corporal acts of mercy like feeding the poor, and helping the sick.  Suor Cristina is a reflection of the several past leaders of the Novus Ordo church but none more than Francis.  She really thinks she is doing God's work on this earth by going on television and singing rock 'n roll pop tunes!  This is where the S.S. Novus Ordo takes you along its voyage towards its final destination, Apostasy!  Let us pray for Cristina Scuccia with the intention she finds the Faith and saves her soul for all eternity.

A song for Francis

(Stan Fortuna meeting John Paul II.)
This blog has tried to show how Francis is viewed by the world and by his prelates.  One thing we haven't yet covered is how his presbyters sing about him.  Today, if you like rock 'n roll or rap, you are in for a treat!  The rapping jazz priest Stan Fortuna has recorded a song for the 1st anniversary of Francis' inauguration.  Stan Fortuna like John Zuhlsdorf has the same hobby of being a Novus Ordo priest.  Unlike Zuhlsdorf who blogs profusely and eats, Fortuna sings and takes professional quality photos from his trips around the world.  So without further ado.

Stan's song for Francis.

'The Zipper Zone' inspired according to Fr. Stan by St. Paul and John Paul II.

Stan Fortuna is one of the founding eight members of Franciscan Friars of the Renewal.  See the screenshot of their website which for Lent includes a picture of a friar putting a piece of paper into the ruins of the Roman Fort Antonia aka the Wailing Wall.

(Don't forget the Novus Ordo Lenten duty of putting paper into the 'Wailing Wall'.)
It amazes us that  Fr. Stan and the like are in good standing with the Vatican and promoted through official channels while the Franciscan Friars of the Immaculate are in the process of being shut down by the Vatican for saying the 2007 version of the 1962 Roncalli Missal.  Maybe, the Franciscan Friars of the Immaculate should get together and pen a song about Francis bringing hope to all those who live on the fringes of society.

No word yet if Fr. Cesare Bonizzi, O.F.M. Cap. will come out of retirement to record a heavy metal ballad for Francis or if Abbot Notker Wolf OSB has plans to write a rock melody for Francis.  Stay tuned...

(Novus Ordo presiders, Paul 'Ash' Nicholson, Scott McCaig
& Stan Fortuna discuss the lyrics of 'The Zipper Zone'.)
