Anjezë Gonxhe Bojaxhiu (aka Mother Teresa)

This video draws from Aroup Chatterjee’s book (see below) and has a few factual errors.  That being said, it does demonstrate how Mother Teresa raised money ostensibly for the poor but instead used this money to spread her religious order as well as clearly shows the abhorrent conditions of her homes and hospitals.  Yes, we know what Mr. Hitchens stood for and no we don’t agree with everything in the film.

Hell’s Angel by Christopher Hitchens and Tariq Ali

  1. Watched his video a while back ,i thought he made some valid points ,millions poured into Mother Teresa's charity ,so why did people die in agony ,and why did people die from treatable illnesses .i also read that Mother Teresa died during a power failure in Calcutta ,because the machine that was keeping her alive stopped working,so she did not reject medical assistance .

  2. If this is a Catholic site than I wish you would have limited your criticism of Mother Teresa to religious aspects. The main reference source against her is a book written by a Hindu. Would a Christian in India ever get away with a book on a Hindu personality? Can he even eat beef in various parts of that country? Are the state run hospitals over there any better than Mother Teresa's despite official funding? Can 90% of Indians afford private sector healthcare which is now elbowing out that which is state funded? Money laundering and financial manipulation? Have you heard about the level of corruption in India?
I couldnt care less whether or not she is a saint. She always said that Jesus Christ was HER Lord! With no missionary effort going on in India, her work was a major pointer to the goodness of Christianity. And she is being rubbished by a group of non-Catholics, Catholic haters, and Traditional Catholic freaks. Can you point out a single Traditional Catholic priest or nun who will forsake a meal to give it to the poor?. For God's sake delete this topic!

    1. We were under the impression that Aroup Chatterjee is an atheist not a practicing Hindu.

If you want Catholic criticisms of Mother Teresa, look through the post. The Tradition In Action links are Catholic. Explain why Mother Teresa was praying to a statue of Buddha if she said Jesus Christ was her lord!

Perhaps you'd want to read this book, Mother Teresa The Case for the Cause, which takes her to task for her non-Catholic beliefs. Mr. Zima the author is a Catholic too.

Or explain these quotes of hers:

“...some call him Allah, some simply God. But we all have to acknowledge that it is he who made us for the greater things: to love and be loved”

“Of course I convert. I convert you to be a better Hindu or a better Muslim or a better Protestant. Once you’ve found God, it’s up to you to decide how to worship him.”

And next time please look through the post with its link before you comment.

      Thanks and God Bless.

    2. A Hindu atheist? Scratch his forehead and you'll see the dot.
In the pantheon of Hindu gods, consisting of sevral hundred million, there is one for everyone, including atheists.

    3. Really? Who's their atheist god? PS married women wear the dot.

  3. Another VC2 Progressive:

"When Indians have challenged aspects of Mother Teresa’s career, he said, it has often been to safeguard what some see as the progressiveness of her work...“Because Calcuttans think that Mother Teresa is Western and she’s a Western icon, she’s very progressive,” he said. “And they do not associate her with miracles and mumbo jumbo and black magic just as they do NOT associate her with opposition to contraception and abortion.”

"Outside the Indian sub-continent, Mother Teresa would move the earth to prevent a single abortion."

"Finally I would ask the Committee whether it would do justice to the memory and spirit of Mother be called "Saint Teresa of Calcutta", for Calcutta is one of the world's most pro abortion cities, where hundreds of institutions (one of them not that many yards from Mother House) offer abortion (virtually) on demand."

"she goes on to say, "In Calcutta alone we have 102 centres where families are taught self control out of love"-- meaning of course, natural family planning... could not fathom the basis... especially as she does not have a single such centre. Could she mean she had natural family planning advisers in her homes? -- At one time she did have such advisers, .... but centres? ... It does not come as a surprise to me, when Mother Teresa's friend, the Calcutta based Father Edward Le Joly, 13 years later, gives the global total of her family planning centres as "69". None is mentioned in Calcutta. I may have been bewildered or even amused by Mother Teresa's figure of "102 centres" of natural family planning, but I was disturbed by what she said to an assembly of her "co-workers" (a very large and powerful body of people from all over the world, who do a lot of the FUND RAISING) in London on 13 July, 1977. She said, "We spend Rs 20000 a week just on food for the 59 centres we have in Calcutta." This was not just a slip of the tongue, as... this way: "They [the Sisters] go all over the city (in Calcutta alone we have 59 centres, the home for the dying is only one of them). The Sisters travel everywhere with a rosary in their hands." In 1977 Mother Teresa had 4 centres in Calcutta, and presently her order has 5 -- not counting her 3 large nunneries in the city. So what should we make of her "59 centres"?"

"Mother Teresa would have been horrified to know that during my two years as a junior and senior house officer at the Calcutta Medical College Hospitals, I had personally assisted in numerous abortions, and a number of these were on "very poor women". In case I am seen by a section of readers as some kind an unusual demon in the city of Mother Teresa, let me point out that every one of us did it -- including the Muslims -- except the lone Roman Catholic girl."

"Professor Ghosh, who used to perform abortions with gusto in the past, has now given them up. He is probably the only gynaecologist in Calcutta not to do them -- Mother's single success story in Calcutta."

"In that context Mother's Nobel Prize figure of "61,273" is particularly disingenuous, and was quoted to mislead the world -- yes, deliberately....Regarding her statistic of how many less babies were born to the poor in Calcutta, Mark Tully, the BBC's former India correspondent -- and one of her admirers -- has remarked, "It is not known how the figure was arrived at." Nonetheless, the figure doubled itself eighteen months later, when Mother claimed in Washington D.C. that her "beautiful method" had resulted in 134,000 fewer babies in Calcutta in seven years. Having given up on contraception and abortion in India..."

    1. In the 16th Century, whilst traveling in the Orient, St Francis Xavier was asked by local officials to fling his crucifix into the sea. Rather than compromise his apostolate, he obliged.

    3. Are you saying St. Francis Xavier was a liar? Does a liar have a halo? Guess so if that Knights of Columbus heretical Croax magazine says so. And religious liberty will make abortion illegal in the U.S.--that's why Hilary Clinton, the Satanists, Atheists, Mormon Polygamists and Muslim pedophiles are teaming w/the USCCB to work for it.

"Pope Francis: States must be secular. Confessional states end badly."

“I’ve been fighting to defend religious freedom for years,” Clinton wrote. “As secretary of state, I made it a cornerstone of our foreign policy to protect the rights of religious minorities around the world — from Coptic Christians in Egypt to Buddhists in Tibet.”

Religious liberty means that abortion is legal: but Christians don't have to have one (or marry someone of the same sex); but they MUST perform them and pay for them, i.e. support them. Let francis take it away: In a secular setting, how should Catholics defend their concerns on societal issues such as euthanasia or same-sex marriage?
Pope Francis: It is up to Parliament to discuss, argue, explain, reason [these issues]. That is how a society grows.
However, once a law has been adopted, the state must also respect [people’s] consciences. The right to conscientious objection must be recognized within each legal structure because it is a human right. Including for a government official, who is a human person."

So the Catholic Nursing is starving and neglecting to death your mother in order that they won't lose their medicaid funding. Or they are performing abortions on your children and giving them birth control. You can write a letter to the bishop. What scoundrels. What scum. No wonder Mother Teresa is being used by the U.N. to promote sodomy. She is a daughter of the father of lies. Her father is a devil--just like all those who continue to worship in the VC2 sect no matter how evil they reveal themselves to be.

You'll find many "protests" of this from conservative bloggers (those sames ones who funded her)--but none (ZERO, ZIP, NADA) from the Vatican or Croax or any of the other 'official' catholic media.

    4. Did Crux hire shea or is that jimmy achin who's always giving us three reasons why their vc2 bs matters to anyone except their little circle of demons

  4. "In 1952, Mother Teresa opened the first Home for the Dying in space made available by the city of Calcutta. With the help of Indian officials she converted an abandoned Hindu temple into the Kalighat Home for the Dying, a free hospice for the poor. She renamed it Kalighat, the Home of the Pure Heart (Nirmal Hriday). Those brought to the home received medical attention and were afforded the opportunity to die with dignity, according to the rituals of their faith; Muslims were read the Quran, Hindus received water from the Ganges, and Catholics received the Last Rites. "A beautiful death," she said, "is for people who lived like animals to die like angels—loved and wanted."

    1. What a VC2 egoist to say that people lived like animals and were dying like "angels loved and wanted" in her filthy hell holes where they were forced to defecate in front of one another while she read and performed rites over them that the Holy Bible classifies as demonic: "All the Gods of the Gentiles are Devils." Psalm 95:5; 1 Cor 10:20

[In hell] "The demons could be distinguished by their terrifying and repellent likeness to frightful and unknown animals, black and transparent like burning coals."

Meanwhile: at the same time sodomy law was repealed for the military so was the law prohibiting bestiality. "Bergoglio transforms the Church into the “habitation of devils and the hold of every unclean spirit, and the hold of every unclean and hateful bird.”" (Apoc 18:2)

On the feast of the immaculate conception:

VC2 says they are transforming men into "gods," and yet frances approves of transforming some humans into pigs or rats or mice or using aborted baby parts to patch up (help) him and his pedophile pervert transvestite cronies (aka saints (but that's not infallible--just frannie (and fellay's) opinion)).

"For the invisible things of him, from the creation of the world, are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made; his eternal power also, and divinity: so that they are inexcusable. Because that, when they knew God, they have not glorified him as God, or given thanks; but became vain in their thoughts, and their foolish heart was darkened. For professing themselves to be wise, they became fools. And they changed the glory of the incorruptible God into the likeness of the image of a corruptible man, and of birds, and of fourfooted beasts, and of creeping things. Wherefore God gave them up to the desires of their heart, unto uncleanness, to dishonour their own bodies among themselves. Who changed the truth of God into a lie; and worshipped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen." Romans 1:20-25

*He and others said that Mother Teresa took her adherence to frugality and simplicity in her work to extremes, allowing practices like the reuse of hypodermic needles and tolerating primitive facilities that required patients to defecate in front of one another." (just like the angels in heaven!~)

  5. At least she didn't run on vitriol ... that's all I can say!

    1. No she ran on millions of dollars that were never accounted for --nor spent on the poor--but banked w/JP2 (like Fr Maciel that famous conservative Legionnaire). "Missionaries doesn’t keep a tab on the financial transactions that take place. No one other than the sisters knows where the money that is donated is spent. Donations continue to pour in but people are asking for transparency on how the money is used... unfortunately, we are still in the dark when it comes to their financial records,” says Gonzalez. The donation issue first came up in the early 1990s when it was revealed that Charles Keating, an American banker known for the infamous “saving and loan scandal,” had donated up to $1.25 million to Missionaries of Charity. Amidst calls to return the money, Mother Teresa controversially chose to remain silent, an incident that is still sited by her critics who demand transparency.

"In early 2000, Susan Shields, a former Missionaries sister who left the organization “unhappy”, created a furor by saying she herself had “written receipts of $50,000″ in donation but there was no sign of the “flood of money.” Forbes India talked to a volunteer in the Los Angeles office of Missionaries of Charity who admitted that “even when bread was over at the soup kitchens, none was bought unless donated.” A report in German magazine Stern, revealed that in 1991 only seven percent of the donation received at Missionaries of Charity was used for charity. Former volunteers and people close to the Mother House revealed that the Vatican, home to the Pope, has control over the “monetary matters” ever since Missionaries of Charity came under its fold in 1965. The control got stronger after Mother Teresa died in 1997.

"When asked about how much money the Charity gets annually, the then superior general Sister Nirmala in a rare media interview a few years ago remarked “Countless.” When asked how much it was, she answered, “God knows. He is our banker.” Forbes India’s request for details was turned down at the Mother House. Sister Mary Prema, the present superior general, did not agree to a meeting." [of course they refer to JP2 as JPVI!]

"Marcial Maciel was one, triune, or even quadruple. He had, at least, five different identities. He was Raul Rivas, Norma Hilda's lover and father of little Norma (both live comfortably in Madrid) and Jaime Alberto Gonzalez Ramirez, the partner of a Mexican woman and father of three children in Switzerland. Sometimes he was Juan Rivas. And he was always Marcial Maciel, founder of one of the most powerful religious congregations, fundraiser of incalculable fortunes of doubtful origin, and pederast"

  6. Mother Theresa openly acknowledged the public Idolater and blasphemer JP2 as "Pope"
She accepted the Anti-Christ Vatican 2 documents as part of her "faith"

  7. "In the 16th Century, whilst traveling in the Orient, St Francis Xavier was asked by local officials to fling his crucifix into the sea. Rather than compromise his apostolate, he obliged."

I am not sure what analogy you are trying to make w/Mother Teresa's apostasy and St Francis Xavier; thought if I read the anecdote might have more understanding. However, no success at all in tracking it down, though many anecdotes concerning FX and crucifix, mainly this one:

Where did you get this info? And what point are you trying to make (if any)?

  8. St. Francis Xavier never threw the Crucifix away, he lost it and a crab miraculously recovered it from the sea. The guy just adds another mortal sin to his miserable soul by obviously slandering St. Francis Xavier (who with use of reason could honestly believe St. Francis Xavier would throw the Crucifix away?) and is just a miserable liar and a lost and miserable soul.
