What book did Francis receive from Rabbi Pynchas Brener?

If there is one thing Francis loves, it’s Talmudic books!

Back in 2015, we briefly reported on the visit of a rabbi to the Vatican, see Pynchas Brener becomes rabbi #89,324 to visit Francis at the Vatican.  Being a good guest (even though he invited himself), Rabbi Pynchas Brener, the Ashkenazi Chief Rabbi of Caracas, Venezuela, came bearing gifts for Francis.  One of these was a book, Agadá: Zuron Yosef y Rajel. Below is the best photo we could find over on the Vatican’s official website for photographs.  As you can see, the book can be readily identified by its colorful cover design.

It should come as no surprise that Francis is correctly opening the book
backwards as he is very familiar with Talmudism and knows all its minutiae.

The book presented to Francis is a Sephardic Agadá (haggadah) for the seder meal.  It was made in Latin America and has direct translations from Hebrew to Ladino with explanatory notes in Spanish by Rabbi Pychas Brener.  The book contains the history and rules regarding the seder and how it leads the Jewish people out of oppression to redemption.  When covering the fundamental themes of the seder, the book delves further into Jewish thought and explains the laws that lead to the observance of this festival which it suggests are unique and brings freedom.  The illustrations in the book were carried out by Irene Pressner.  On Rabbi Brener’s website it brags, “A copy of this Agadá is in the Vatican library.”

This however wasn’t the only gift which Francis received from rabbi Pynchas.

CMJ translation:  “I gave him a Haggadah of Pesach (seder) and a Kippah, in the name of friendship and good relations between nations. Soon I will publish the words I said in front of the Pope.”

Francis was more than happy to receive a kippah from the rabbi!

Francis must have been doing cartwheels in ecstasy!  To receive not one but two Talmudic and anti-Catholic gifts at one time.  For those unfamiliar with how anti-Christian the seder meal is — please see, Raymond the Rabbi attends Seder Meal, and scroll down until you read the header — Burke attends Seder Meal.  In that post the seder is covered and how it: was created after the destruction of the Temple in A.D. 70 and was finalized in the 3rd century A.D.; is an anti-Gentile curse; contains occult symbolism; is magic; tells the tale of the drowning of Christians by Prophet Elijah; celebrates Talmudic freedom — which is a far cry from how Catholics define freedom; etc...  We doubt this book ever made it to the Vatican’s library as we believe Francis probably keeps it bedside.

The second gift was a kippah.  Notice this is what the rabbi wrote on his facebook page that he gave him “a kippah” — nothing was said about a zucchetto.  Both Francis and Brener are educated enough to know the difference between the two.  If the reader isn’t familiar with what the difference is and what the kippah represents — please see, the kippah or the yarmulke — an outward sign of rejection of Our Savior, Jesus the Christ.  Knowing how much Francis is into the occult and how much he enjoys mocking Our Savior Jesus the Christ, we bet Francis has worn the kippah many times in public and almost laughed his inner-Jew out of himself as he pulled off another burlesque jest on his unsuspecting and adoring public.

Selfie Sunday #12 — the City of Brotherly Love

In what has now become a papal tradition up there right alongside Francis’ inflight interviews is the papal selfie.  Every moment is an appropriate one to click away as long as one can get the selfie and post it to social media.  Nothing is too sacred and that includes the man-centered memorial known as the Novus Ordo Missae.  The North Americans, on 26 September 2015, demonstrated to Francis that they are part of his revolutionary reform of the Novus Ordo.  After all “making a mess” is all about me!

What are they here for?  Everyone has their cell phone out and is snapping away!

Francis’ priests are “making a mess” during his pontifical mess.

Francis named PETA's Person of the Year

...is PETA as dense as Francis?

The first pope to take the name of St Francis of Assisi, patron saint of animals, is also the first to be picked as PETA’s Person of the Year.

Pope Francis earned the title for asking all citizens of the world to reject domination over God’s creation, treat animals with kindness and respect the environment – something that seems to us can only be interpreted as a subtle call to go vegan, given the well-established role of animal agriculture in climate change.
In his 2015 treatise, Laudato Si’, Pope Francis stressed the importance of treating animals with kindness, writing the following:
We have only one heart, and the same wretchedness which leads us to mistreat an animal will not be long in showing itself in our relationships with other people. Every act of cruelty towards any creature is ‘contrary to human dignity’.

He also included these important words to live by:
We are not God. … [W]e must forcefully reject the notion that our being created in God’s image and given dominion over the Earth justifies absolute domination over other creatures.
Pope Francis is also known for his focus on environmental stewardship – a concern that PETA shares through our vegan advocacy, as, according to the United Nations, a global shift towards vegan eating is necessary in slowing the most dangerous effects of climate change, including the extinction of wildlife.
With more than a billion Catholics worldwide, Pope Francis’ animal-friendly teachings have a massive audience. His Holiness is PETA’s Person of the Year for spreading the message of kindness to all, regardless of their religion or species, and we hope people will hear his message and choose a compassionate vegan lifestyle.

PETA turned a blind eye towards Francis' advocating for kosher slaughter back on September 2nd, 2013 when he met with officials from the World Jewish Congress.

Francis discussing Poland's ban on Jewish 'shechitah' and Muslim 'halal' slaughter.

Many of the mainstream media websites said that Francis considered the kosher and halal methods of ritual slaughter a matter of religious freedom.  After being pressured by the world, Poland overturned the ban on kosher and halal slaughter of animals in December 2014

PETA's website says, “Animals are not ours to eat, wear, experiment on, use for entertainment, or abuse in any other way.”  So how does PETA figure naming Francis their person of the year, when he being an advocate for 'shechitah' (kosher) slaughter, was a good idea?

Maybe we at Call Me Jorge... should look at the bright side.  At least Francis wasn't named person of the year by a sodomite magazine again!

Pieces of the SINod puzzle

...the new synodal church, since 1965

Two interesting observations on the Synod of the Family found around the internet plus the method used at the SINod.

What do we expect of the final document?
– Flowery orthodox statements securing large majority large majorities of bishops.
– Just enough weaselly stuff to give the Pope his opening.

In fiction, a MacGuffin is a plot device in the form of some goal, desired object,
or other motivator that the protagonist pursues, often with little or no narrative explanation.
The specific nature of a MacGuffin is typically unimportant to the overall plot.

[So, did everyone enjoy a nice WUWTS holiday yesterday? I found a walnut tree and brought home about five pounds. Pat Archbold spent most of the day in a tree. Not making it up. And while he was up there waiting for some hapless and doubtless adorably cute woodland creature to come into his sights, he texted this to us. It is what I’ve more or less been telling everyone who imagines that “the good guys won the Synod! Yaaay!” It doesn’t matter. It doesn’t matter. It doesn’t matter. HJMW]
Everybody is talking about the final document of the Synod. We didn’t even know if we would have one, but now we know there will be a vote [happening as I edit Pat’s piece…stay tuned HJMW]. This is a chance for – the Africans!… the Poles! …the Latvians!… name the latest group of bishops – to save us!!
Sorry folks. They want you to be focused on the final document. They NEED you to be focused on the final document. But i have news for you, the final doc is the MACGUFFIN. It is simply a plot device meant to move the story forward, but ultimately it is unimportant. It is a distraction meant to cover the sleight of hand.
What do I expect of the final document? Well, it will make flowery orthodox statements securing large majority large majorities of bishops. Of course, with just enough weaselly stuff to give the Pope his opening.
They are not fools, they aren’t going to really fight over the document. Maybe they will put in an offending paragraph or two, intended to be voted out, so that everybody will cheer their favorite orthodox Bishop. Hooray!! We are saved!
And then the Pope will give his closing remarks (or even in a post synodal exhortation months down the line) in which the he will do only what he needs to do (nuanced they’ll say) to open the door to the heretical episcopal conferences. They will do the rest and the Vatican will do nothing to stop them.
All the while we will be barraged with stories about how all this worry was for nothing! and how the Holy Spirit saved us! as we knew He would all along!! They will mock the faithful traditionalists and praise the closing document as the mostest orthodoxest document evah!!
And then, one day a few months from now, we will find institutionalized and approved sacrilege occurring daily in dioceses all over the world and oh, by the way, you better get on board with the new mercy.
Or else.

Horrors of the Novus Ordo Missae

Andrzej Duda, the president-elect of Poland, attended the Sunday 8 June 2015 Corpus Christi service, officiated by Cardinal Kazimierz Nycz, the archbishop of Warsaw.  After the consecration the wind blew off the table one of the consecrated hosts and it flew to the ground. The Polish President rose swiftly, trapped the wafer on the ground, proceeded to pick it up and then handed to the cardinal.

President of Poland picks up a consecrated host

We don't know about you but none of us, here at Call Me Jorge..., has consecrated hands, so we would have alerted either the priest himself or one of the altar boys to tell the priest about what happened to the wafer. Then again, the Father would have been offering Mass at an altar rather than a table and it would have taken place indoors rather than outside in a stadium-like atmosphere.  This demonstrates clearly that there is no difference in the Novus Ordo rubrics between a presbyter and a layman. We wonder if Andrzej Duda is also a eucharistic minister?

Where did the people go?

Where's the much ballyhooed 'Francis Effect'?

Has it been replaced by 'Francis Fatigue'?

a photo of Francis' General Audience of 11 February 2015
posted on Italian author, Antonio Socci's facebook page

In the photo above, do you see throngs of people in St. Peter's Square attending Francis' general audience?  Neither do we.  Where have they gone?  Why is the media not covering this story?

This is by no means a scientific or exhaustive study of attendance at Francis' general audiences.  We grabbed two videos at random to compare to Wednesday's.  We concentrated on the real estate of St. Peter's Square between the Colonnades, which encircle the square.  Screenshots and links to the videos are below.

that looks sparse!

Is it all his name calling of faithful Catholics or is it Francis' pandering to every religion and special interest group under the sun that has led to this?  Maybe he has driven them to Protestantism, Mohammedanism, or Talmudic Judaism?  Is all the hullabaloo concerning Francis only being driven by the establishment medias?  If you have a theory, please share it in the comments below.

Thanks to the intrepid Antonio Socci for bringing this to our attention.
